SIMULTANEOUS TRANSLATION During the event, equipment for simultaneous translation will be available. ACESSIBILITY Physically impaired participants will have priority service. Conference participants that, for any reason, are permanently or temporarily physically impaired must inform this need at registration so that the arrangements already made, such as the reservation of preferred seats, can be more effectively completed. Blind people and the visually impaired that need the program in Braille, enlarged letters and/or in digital media must inform this need at registration.
LANGUAGES The official languages of the Conference in all activities are: Portuguese, English and Spanish.
SPEAKERS Speakers from several countries will be invited, therefore creating exchange and learning opportunities for everyone.
WHAT IS INCLUDED IN THE REGISTRATION FEE The registration fee includes the cocktails, lunch and coffee-breaks and the printed Program.
AVAILABILITY Places are limited and reservations are not possible. When the maximum number of registrations is reached, applicants should enter the web site to leave their names on a waiting list.
CANCELLATION AND REIMBURSEMENT POLICY Cancellation requests must be made in writing, and sent to the fax (55 11 – 3897-2424 ) for Clóvis da Silva, or e-mail [email protected], by April 28, 2008. After this date, cancellations will not be accepted.
Reimbursement of 80% of the registration fee will be made after 30 days of the end of the Conference.
SPECIAL DISCOUNT FOR SMALL AND MEDIUM-SIZED COMPANIES Ethos Institute member companies (whose contributions are not delayed) and non-member companies, whose annual revenues are below R$5million (equivalent to US$2,4 million) shall apply a special discount – 20% off the Fees for each category.
SPECIAL DISCOUNT FOR GROUPS In order to encourage the participation of several executives from one company, including the possibility of involving other branches in Brazil and abroad, we have created 3 discount categories for registrations, as long as they are processed and paid at the same time.
Category 1 - 3 to 19 registrations: 10% off the fee in effect at the time of registration.
Category 2 - 20 to 39 registrations: 15% off the fee in effect at the time of registration.
Category 3 more 40 registrations: 20% off the fee in effect at the time of registration.
SPECIAL DISCOUNT FOR ONGS Non-governmental organizations shall apply a 10% discount off the registration fee in effect, at the time of registration.
COMPLIMENTARY POLICY With the purpose of promoting transparency to the criteria used by the Ethos Institute to offer complimentary seats and discounts for the International Conference, we would like to clarify the following:
1) We offer complimentary seats to NGOs partners of the Ethos Institute, chosen by the Conference’s executive Committee by consensus. These complimentary seats are limited to 20;
2) After May 12, 2008, in case there are seats still available, we will consider special discounts for the academia (universities, professors and students that participate in the Ethos Institute’s New Managers Program), students who have participated in the Ethos-Valor Award, and other NGOs who have not received complimentary seats or discounts. The criteria used in this issue will be timely disclosed and will be full responsibility of the executive Committee. We believe these clarifications promote transparency to our decisions.
