Conference launches mechanisms to strengthen CSR in Brazil
Aiming to enhance the CSR movement influence on macroeconomic policies and effectively contribute to the reduction of social inequalities while keeping ecologic balance, three mechanisms were launched as a practical result of the 2006 International Conference.

The participants of the first plenary of June 22 - Social control over government and market – the role of the civil society, were Sean de Cleene, executive director of the African Institute of Corporate Citizenship (AICC); Eduardo Felipe Pérez Matias, co-owner of the law firm L.O. Baptista Advogados; Luiza Cristina Fonseca Frischeisen, Federal Public Prosecutor in Rio de Janeiro; and Eduardo Capobianco, president of Transparency Brazil advisory board, who contributed to a very enriching discussion.
Discussion: Solidarity Capital Fund
On the last day of the 2006 International Conference, representatives of companies and guests met with the Steering Committee of the Solidarity Capital Fund (FCS), an initiative aimed at solidarity economy enterprises in Latin America as a solidarity and sustainable investment option.

Pact gathers companies around the fight against corruption
“Corruption is a world problem that requires deep knowledge of its causes to be fought against,” said Jermyn Brooks, board member of Transparency International, and one of the speakers at the fifth theme panel – Business Pact for Integrity and Against Corruption – held at the 2006 International Conference.
